Causeway Bay Public Library | Manulife x Mind HK: Your Mental Health Matters Event Series — Caregivers and Their Stress

Description
Whether it's taking care of children, parents, elderly with chronic illnesses, spouses, or even siblings, each of us may become a caregiver at some point. However, caregivers often unknowingly find themselves in a constant state of high stress and even consider it as part of their daily routine, eventually neglecting their own physical and mental health needs. This can have profound implications for both the caregiver and the cared-for individual.
The 'Your Mental Health Matters' event series, organized by Mind HK and Manulife, will be holding a special talk on 'Caregivers and Their Stress' on the evening of May 6 at the Causeway Bay Public Library Lecture Hall. The event aims to provide caregivers with emotional management strategies and practical resources, as well as raise public awareness about this invisible group. Renowned director and screenwriter Cheuk Wan Chi will be sharing her experiences and insights as a caregiver.
The event will also feature Dr. Chan Kit Ying, Clinical Advisor of Mind HK, who will explain the stress faced by caregivers from a professional perspective and offer feasible methods for self-emotional care. Dr. Ling Yuet Man, Administrative Director and Clinical Psychologist of Mind HK, will also be present for a guest dialogue, combining clinical and experienced caregiver perspectives to provide practical information for those in need.
Fee: Free (a HK$100 deposit is required for each participant, which will be refunded after attendance or may be donated to Mind HK to support mental health services)
